This page explains how account deletion works for all users worldwide.
Instant Local Removal
Immediate sign-out and instant wipe of local settings, schedules, check-in history, cache, and recorded audio.
Immediate Server Deletion
User profile, settings, alarm schedules, and questionnaire data are permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation.

01. How to delete your account in the app
Follow these steps to permanently delete your account directly on your device:
Open App
Open Sleep Paralysis Companion on your iPhone.
Navigate to Account
Tap the Me tab in the bottom navigation bar, then select Account.
Select Delete Account
Tap Delete Supabase account.
Reauthenticate and Confirm
When prompted, select Reauthenticate and continue and complete the biometric or passcode prompt using your original sign-in method (Apple or Google).
Alternative Email Request
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by emailing founder@sleepparalysis.app from the email address associated with your account.
02. What happens immediately
- Instant sign-out: You are signed out of the app immediately.
- Immediate local data removal: All local data on your device—including your settings, schedules, check-in history, cached audio, and recorded comfort audio—is deleted right away.
- Immediate server-side deletion: Your user profile, settings, alarm schedules, and questionnaire data stored on our servers are permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation.
- Audit record retention: A cryptographic, non-identifying audit record of the deletion request is retained for up to 30 days strictly to prevent replay attacks and resolve failed retries, after which it is automatically purged.
03. Subscriptions
Active Subscription Notice
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription automatically. You must cancel active subscriptions in your iPhone's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions to stop future billing. You may still be able to access subscription benefits through Apple until the end of your current billing period.
04. Sign-in connections
Deleting your account immediately terminates all active sessions. If you also wish to unlink your sign-in provider directly:
- Apple: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In with Apple > Sleep Paralysis Companion and select Stop using Apple ID.
- Google: Visit your Google Account > Security > Third-party apps with account access and remove Sleep Paralysis Companion.
05. Comfort-audio privacy
Local-Only Privacy Guarantee
Personal comfort audio recorded or imported in the app never leaves your device. It is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to our servers or any third-party cloud service. When you delete your account in the app (or uninstall the app), your audio files are permanently removed from your device immediately.
